With Sean indisposed, self-appointed Sega guru Sindra teams up with Vinnk to explain the rise of the Mega Drive and Genesis to de-throne Nintendo as the reigning video game super power. Can it truly do what Nintendon't?
Also, check out the proof of concept video we did for the Train Your Game sequence:
Sega as a company has a long and storied history. Nintendo started out as a playing card company before switching to electronics. Sega (aka "Service Games") was a video arcade company at from the beginning, which saw the same opening that Nintendo did to enter the video game market in the wake of Atari's collapse. The story of Famicom Dojo Season 2 is how Sega tried, and largely succeeded, in leapfrogging Nintendo into market dominance.
But that's not the whole story, as savvy viewers I'm sure would be quick to point out. The last two videos may have been about Sega, but we will next focus on the other players that lead to the console world being a three-way race between an ever-changing cast of players -- ever-changing, that is, except for Nintendo.
